Ditch Witch Pipe Bursting System
The Ditch Witch organization announces the release of the PR100, the company’s newest and most powerful pipe bursting system. The PR100 bursting unit can fracture or cut any type of existing pipe — clay, PVC, steel, cast iron or ductile iron — and pull in new pipe of up to 16 in. in diameter with 100 tons of pullback force. The PR100’s power pack features a 60-hp Cummins engine that is fully enclosed, fully accessible and, at 83 dBA, is the one of the quietest in its class. The PR100’s rod box mounts atop the bursting unit, a design that offers two benefits: an entry pit only large enough to accommodate the bursting unit and the operator is required, which reduces time and labor expense and easier access to the rod box, which reduces operator fatigue.
Crescent Pipe Tongs
Crescent pipe tongs are usable with virtually any type of crane or excavator. The easily attached and released pipe tongs speed up pipe handling operations and allows placing of pipe in trenches of minimum working width. Crescent pipe tongs are manufactured in light-weight aluminum alloy or fabricated high-tensile steel in dimensions of 4 to 48 in. Larger sizes are available upon request. Each tong is stamped with a safety load limit (which should never be exceeded). Crescent pipe tongs can be used for water pipe laying, sewer line work, gas main laying, oil and gas pipeline installation, pipe stringing operations, pipe and bar stock handling in storage and loading and unloading pipe from trucks.

Vactor Mfg.
The Vactor HydroSurge high-performance cleaning nozzle features an adjustable nozzle plate and water jet inserts with adjustable angles and is ideal for public utilities and professional contractors handling a variety of large pipe cleaning and maintenance applications. Powerful enough to work underwater, this nozzle can clear large sewer pipes and storm water pipes of everything from heavy debris and compact sand to dense silt and compressed sludge. The cleaning mode of 15 to 20 degrees removes heavy deposits from the bottom of the pipe. The propulsion mode of 5 to 10 degrees provides tremendous forward motion while effectively moving sand, silt and other debris back to the pipe opening. The nozzle is available in configurations of six, eight, 10 or 12 water jets.
PipeDiver
PipeDriver can significantly reduce infrastructure costs by repairing only the individual pipes that are distressed instead of replacing an entire line. This also reduces risk and extends the overall life of existing pipelines. PipeDiver has been specifically designed to operate in live pipelines, guaranteeing uptime and avoiding costly dewatering and service shutdown. This free-swimming tool travels long distances and collects critical data about the structural integrity of the pipeline, identifying pipe sections that are at risk of failure.
Clock Spring Pipe Repair
Clock Spring manufactures and designs composite repair sleeves used to permanently restore structural integrity to pipelines. Clock Spring products are applied without welding or hot work of any kind.
With the patented Clock Spring system, permanent field repair and reinforcement of pipe sections leaking or weakened by corrosion or mechanical damage is easy, fast and inexpensive. The Clock Spring sleeve is a specially developed, 0.06-in. sheet of high strength composite material. Its unique coil-shaped configuration creates a matrix memory which allows the Clock Spring to wrap tightly around pipe of virtually any size which forms a composite wrap that actually exceeds the yield strength of the original pipe. Repairs can be applied without stopping throughput or reducing pressure.
CUES Lateral Cleaning System
The CUES lateral cleaning system (LCS) provides high-pressure cleaning power to open clogged service laterals from within the mainline pipe. The LCS is designed to operate in 8- to 15-in. diameter mainline sewer pipes, 8- to 15-in. diameter relined sewer pipes and 4- to 6-in. diameter lateral pipes. A blunt-nose nozzle and two-position launch angles optimizes entry into the service lateral. For added versatility, the LCS can also transport your CUES camera through 8-in. diameter or larger pipe to view the service connection from the mainline during the operation.
StoneAge Bigger Badger
StoneAge’s Bigger Badger is designed to clean 6-in. pipes with 90-degree bends and is offered for 15,000 psi with a 1/2-in. inlet or for 20,000 psi with a 9/16 medium pressure inlet. The flow capacity is from 14 to 55 gpm. The Bigger Badger is designed similar to StoneAge’s existing model and uses a stack up of discs to help control the speed of rotation. The range of speed control is from 50 to 300 rpm. Tough applications will need the slow rpm while easier jobs can be finished quicker with faster rpm. The most impressive feature of the Bigger Badger is that StoneAge has added a simple but effective speed control called the adjustment sleeve. By using an open end wrench, the operator can easily tighten or loosen the adjustment sleeve. The Bigger Badger can either have more front hitting power or have as much as 100 lbs of pulling force to get to the end of your longest pipe cleaning jobs. StoneAge also offer an expandable centering device to allow cleaning for up to 12-in. pipes.

KEG Technologies
KEG Technologies Inc., a world leader in high-efficiency cleaning tools, introduced a solution to the need for cleaning large diameter infrastructures in February 2009. As individual states increase the regulations of groundwater conveyance, control and treatment, the need to convey groundwater also increases. Groundwater conveyance is typically uses large pipes that are hard and/or maintenance intensive to keep clean. The use of either a Twin 6 or Twin 8 set of floor cleaners, both sanitary and storm water maintenance organizations can now clean these infrastructures using the current cleaning equipment they already own.
The result is a less maintenance intensive method for maintaining the infrastructures. Box culverts, arch pipe and 48-plus in. pipes have met their match.
Enduro Pipeline Services
Enduro Pipeline Services now offers Dual Diameter DigiTel Flux Logger (DfL) utilizing magnetic flux leakage (MFL) technology. Pipe Ranges include 10-in. by 12-in.; 8-in. by 10-in.; and 6-in. by 8-in. It acquires data from several sources simultaneously in both pipe sizes listed, all in one pass — negating the need to perform independent surveys for each pipe size. Data sets for conducting metal loss, deformation and inertial surveys, along with internal and external discrimination and residual field data, are taken in one pass. Processing and analyzing the closely coupled data allows software users/analysts to more readily recognize pipeline features and assess conditions. Any areas indicating geometry and/or metal loss features may now be simultaneously evaluated for deformation, strain, profile and permeability variations.
